EXCELITAS CERMAX PE175BFA Xenon Lamp
The EXCELITAS CERMAX PE175BFA is a 175W xenon short-arc lamp.
It features an integrated parabolic reflector and rugged ceramic body construction. Designed for applications requiring high-intensity, precisely controlled illumination, it delivers 2,200 lumens, a 5900 K daylight-like color temperature, and a typical service life of 1,000 hours.
Common applications include medical endoscopy, fiber-optic illumination, machine vision, microscopy, spectroscopy, video projection, and industrial inspection systems.
The EXCELITAS CERMAX® PE175BFA Xenon Lamp is a premium 175-watt xenon short-arc light source engineered for demanding optical and medical illumination systems.
Built with an integrated parabolic reflector and durable ceramic housing, the lamp produces a highly focused, high-intensity beam while maintaining excellent optical stability and reliability. Unlike conventional quartz xenon lamps, the Cermax design incorporates an internal reflector and robust metal-to-sapphire seal construction, resulting in a compact, safer, and more efficient illumination solution.
Operating at a nominal 175 W, 12.5 VDC, and 14 A, the PE175BFA generates approximately 2,200 lumens of visible light with a broad spectral output extending from ultraviolet through visible and into infrared wavelengths.
Its 5900 K colour temperature closely resembles natural daylight, making it ideal for applications requiring accurate color rendering and high brightness.
The lamp offers a typical operating life of 1,000 hours and supports power levels between 150–200 W. The integrated parabolic reflector creates a concentrated beam with high peak intensity, making the lamp particularly suitable for precision illumination systems such as diagnostic and surgical endoscopes, machine vision equipment, microscopy, spectroscopy instruments, UV curing systems, solar simulators, wafer inspection tools, and high-brightness projection systems.
Its controlled optical output enables designers to tailor illumination characteristics using filters and secondary optics.
